Sportpunter's All-Round Betting History

Sportpunter have decided to see how we will go live betting with a $1k bank in 2008. Every week we will be updating the results so come back often to see how we have gone. The system uses all the major sports covered by Sportpunter, namely, ATP and WTA (head to head betting), MLB (head to head and total betting), AFL and S14s and NRL (head to head betting) and NHL (totals betting).

There are certain kelly fractionals used for each of the above sports. All Sports use a 1/6th Kelly fractional expect the NHL totals which use 1/4 kelly. Given these fractions at most one will bet 10% of the bank at any one time, and realistically the most bar a few occasions will be about 5% of the bank.

The bank is a moving bank that is changed at the end of every week. So for the first week we use a $1k bank and considering our profit of $115.63, the second week uses a bank of $1,115.63 and so on.

Whilst we don't have any goals for the bank to increase by at the end of the year, we are hoping for a significant increase in bank balance. If previous years are to go by we should do pretty well. In 2006 we increased a $1,000 bank to $31,000. And in 2007 we increased a $1,000 bank to over $120,000.
